Silent Hill is full of goodies just littering the street. Below is a summary of what these items are, where you can find them and what is it you’re supposed to do with them.

We’ve split the items into four distinct sections, and items within these sections are listed alphabetically. Please note that, due to the number of images on this page, sometimes it can take a little time to load. Please be patient!

‘Go To School’

Location: End of Alleyway you chase Cheryl down, off Finney Street, Old Silent Hill.
Purpose: Tells you to go to Midwich Elementary School.

 

Dog Note

‘Doghouse’ at Levin Street

Location: Matheson Street
Purpose: Tells you to go to Levin St.

 

Receipt

Receipt

Location: Inside the envelope Dr. Kaufmann dropped in Annie’s Bar after his Mumbler attack, Silent Hill Resort Area.
Purpose: Gives you the combination for the lock on the front door of Indian Runner.

Survival

Flashlight

Flashlight

Location: On the counter in the Café.
Purpose: Self explanatory, provides light in dark areas. Although if left switched off you can sneak past enemies undetected. Can be switched on and off by pressing circle button.

 

Radio

Radio

Location: On the table in the Café.
Purpose: Helps detect enemies by emitting static whenever a monster is nearby.

 

Health Drink

Health Drinks

Location: Can be found scattered all over Silent Hill.
Purpose: Will recover minor or medium injuries, takes three to recover from major injury.

 

First Aid Kit

Location: Although not rare, these kits are harder to come by than the Health Drinks. Try to conserve them wherever you can.
Purpose: A first aid kit will completely recover any damage, even when in red.

 

Ampoule

Ampoule

Location: This can only be found in a few locations.
Purpose: An ampoule will make you impervious to any damage, its effects are only temporary though.

 

HandGun Bullets

HandGun Bullets

Location: Found in most places through out Silent Hill.
Purpose: Use with your handgun. The handgun can hold fifteen bullets, so you will not need to worry about re-loading too often.

 

Shotgun Bullets

Shotgun Bullets

Location: Although not rare, shotgun shells are harder to locate than handgun bullets. Try not to waste them.
Purpose: To be used with the shotgun. The shotgun can hold up to six cartridges. Remember to re-load as often as possible so you don’t get caught by enemies when you run out of bullets.

 

Rifle Bullets

Rifle Bullets

Location: Rarely found, only located in limited areas.
Purpose: Used with the hunting rifle found in the mall. The rifle can hold six bullets in total. Due to the nature of its design, the rifle is very slow at re-loading so always get in a safe place before doing so.

Antique Shop Key

Location: On the desk in the examination room, 1st floor of Alchemilla Hospital.
Purpose: Unlocks the front door of the ‘Green Lion’ antique shop.

 

Basement Key

Basement Store Key

Location: In the operating room, 2nd floor of Alchemilla Hospital.
Purpose: Unlocks the door to the Hospital basement store room.

 

Birdcage Key

Birdcage Key

Location: The left hand side room to the Altar on the 3rd floor of ‘Nowhere’.
Purpose: Unlocks the birdcage in ‘Nowhere’ to gain access to the ‘Key of Phaleg’.

 

Classroom Key

Location: In the gutter of the courtyard in the Alternate Midwich Elementary
Purpose: Unlocks the classroom located in the north-east, 2nd floor of Midwich Elementary.

 

Bridge Key

Bridge Key

Location: On the altar inside Balkan Church.
Purpose: Turns on the power to the control panel in the Orridge Bridge Control Centre so you can lower the drawbridge.

 

Examination Room Key

Location: In the room where Alessa was nursed in the basement of Alchemilla Hospital.
Purpose: Unlocks the door to the examination room, where you first meet Lisa.

 

Basment Storeroom Key

Hospital Basement Storeroom Key

Location: On the table in the conference room, 1st floor of Alchemilla Hospital.
Purpose: Unlocks the door to the staircase leading down to the Hospital basement.

 

K.Gordon Key

K.Gordon Key

Location: On the floor of the boiler room after defeating the Lizard Boss.
Purpose: Unlocks the back door of the K.Gordon house.

 

Kaufmann Key

Kaufmann Key

Location: In the envelope dropped by Dr.Kaufmann, in Annie’s, after his attack from a mumbler.
Purpose: Unlocks the door to apartment number 3, rented by Dr.Kaufmann, at Haerbey Inn.

 

Key of Aratron

Location: Behind the metal plate in the morgue, 2nd floor of ‘Nowhere’.
Purpose: Unlocks the door of ‘Aratron’.

 

Bethor Key

Location: Found inside the bag of Jellybeans on the shelf, 2nd floor of ‘Nowhere’.
Purpose: Unlocks the door of ‘Bethor’.

Purpose: Unlocks the door of ‘Hagith’.

Location: Stuck in the tap/faucet, bathroom, 1st floor of ‘Nowhere’.
Purpose: Unlocks the door of ‘Ophiel’.

Purpose: Unlocks the door of ‘Phaleg’.

 

Levin Street House Key

Location: In the Dog House on Levin Street.
Purpose: Unlocks the door to the house behind the dog house on Levin Street.

 

Library Reserve Key

Location: On the body that falls out of the locker, 2nd floor of the Alternate Midwich Elementary.
Purpose: Unlocks the door to the school Library Reserve, 2nd floor.

 

Lion Key

Location: In the trunk of the deserted Police Car, Finney Street, Old Silent Hill.
Purpose: Unlocks the ‘Lion’ pad lock on the rear door of the Levin Street house.

 

Motorcycle Key

Motorcycle Key

Location: Beneath the chest of drawers in room 3 of Haerbey Inn, obtained using the magnet.
Purpose: Unlocks the gas tank of the motorcycle in the garage, of Haerbey Inn, to reveal the vial of Aglaophotis.

 

Picture Card Key

Picture Card Key

Location: On a table between other playing cards, north-east classroom, 1st floor of Midwich Elementary.
Purpose: Unlocks the door, in the staffroom of the Alternate Midwich, with the two corpses either side.

 

Safe Key

Safe Key

Location: In the top drawer of the chest behind the counter of Indian Runner.
Purpose: Unlocks the safe, also located behind the counter of Indian Runner, to reveal what looks like bags of drugs.

 

Scarecrow Key

Scarecrow Key

Location: In the mailbox outside the house on the end of Ellroy Street, Old Silent Hill.
Purpose: Unlocks the ‘Scarecrow’ pad lock on the rear door of the Levin Street house.

 

Sewer Key

Location: In the cabinet on the wall, north-east corner, 1st level of sewer A.
Purpose: Unlocks the gate to progress to the 2nd level of sewer A.

 

Sewer Exit Key

Location: In a puddle of blood, far south-west corner, 2nd level of sewer A.
Purpose: Unlocks the exit gate of the second level of sewer A.

 

Woodman Key

Location: In the basketball court behind Cafe 5to2, Old Silent Hill.
Purpose: Unlocks the ‘Woodman’ pad lock on the rear door of the Levin Street house.

Purpose: Can hold the mystery ‘Red Liquid’ found on the floor in Director’s Office, Alchemilla Hospital.

Purpose: Used to unscrew to metal plate from the wall, morgue 2nd floor of ‘Nowhere’, and reveal ‘Key of Aratron’.

Purpose: Opens door to clock tower, along with Gold medallion, when placed in relevant slot.

Unknown Liquid

Location: In the Director’s Office, 1st floor Alchemilla Hopsital.
Purpose: Used on Cybil to expel the strange ‘manifestation’ inside her. Also, when used on a Stalker in Lakeside Amusement Park it triggers a ‘glitch’ to happen that takes Harry directly to where you would usually use the Unknown Liquid on Cybil.

 

Video Tape

Location: In the Store room trapdoor, secret basement of the Alternate Alchemilla Hospital.
Purpose: Can be used on the video recorder in room 302, 3rd floor Alternate Alchemilla Hospital, to see vague footage of Lisa Garland.
