Information: After a brief stint in a military hospital, Alex has returned on leave to Shepherd’s Glen to find his entire world in shambles. He never had a happy home life, though Alex took his role as big brother seriously and did his best to watch after his little brother Josh. This is why, after having a series of vivid and horrific nightmares about Josh, he has returned home to make sure everything is alright. He soon realizes that this is not the case, and sets out to find Josh before something terrible happens to him.
Information: Alex’s little brother was always the favourite son when they were growing up. They got along well, though, and Josh seemed to idolize his big brother. However, now Josh is missing, and he may need his big brother’s help more than he ever imagined possible.
Information: The patriarch of the Shepherd family, Adam is a retired solider who runs his household as strictly as he did his platoon. Casting Alex aside, he focused his limited capacity for affection on Josh alone. He serves as the town’s Sheriff, though his current whereabouts are unknown, as he has left Shepherd’s Glen in search of something…
Information: When Alex finds his mother alone at home, she’s in a nearly catatonic state. Speaking in short, fragmented sentences, she doesn’t have much to say beyond the fact that she misses Josh. What happened to put her in such a state? Why would Adam leave her like this? The haunted tone in her voice suggests that Lillian may know more than she’s letting on.
Information: Elle is a headstrong young woman who refuses to accept the current state of Shepherd’s Glen. She goes to the town bulletin board every day to post flyers for the increasing number of missing persons around town, including her sister. Elle and Alex spent quite a bit of time together when they were growing up, so she was a little hurt when he left for the service one day without telling her.
Information: Elle’s mother is one of the few people still concerned about the town and its citizens. Her calm resolve is a great comfort to those who still remain in Shepherd’s Glen. She is the first person Alex encounters once he returns to town, and while she seems aware that something bizarre is going on in town, she doesn’t seem to notice the deserted, foggy state of Shepherd’s Glen and seems preoccupied with matters at her job. Is she unable to see the current status of the town or is she being willfully blind about the current situation?
Information: Deputy Wheeler works for Adam Shepherd at the police station, although he doesn’t have any idea where he has disappeared to. Wheeler is suspicious by nature and subscribes to more than his share of conspiracy theories. Naturally, he has his own ideas about what’s going on in Shepherd’s Glen, but it remains to be seen how accurate these are.
Information: Curtis Ackers runs the local junk shop, and prides himself on being able to fix any gadget that might need fixing. The only thing he hasn’t been able to figure out is why every clock in Shepherd’s Glen is broken. Further, why is every clock stopped at precisely 2:06? Curtis has a bad attitude and doesn’t get along well with others, but Alex may need to find some way to get past that.
Information: Once a respected figure in the community, Mayor Bartlett now spends his days in a drunken stupor. He spends most of his time in the cemetery, digging up graves, rambling incoherently to himself. Why he is doing this is unknown. He also has been reported to have been seen travelling to the nearby town of Silent Hill often on undisclosed business…
Information: Due to his brave actions during a tragic accident years ago, Doc Fitch has come to be regarded as a local hero. The broken, frightened man Alex meets doesn’t seem to fit that legacy, though. What could possibly have happened to Fitch to reduce this once formidable man to such a condition?
